1.INTRODUCTION

Background
The Athletics and Recreation Department caters to the Centennial community in various ways and 240 intercollegiate athletes (Varsity & Extramural), 15 employees, 40 coaches and staff and more than 100 part-time student staff who service one of the most active and diverse departments on our campuses. The Athletics and Recreation Department is housed on each of our four campuses with our main location in the Athletic and Wellness Centre (AWC), which is seven year old state of the art building. Student use of the facilities is at an all-time high as the gyms, Squash courts, and weight rooms are a constant buzz. As well there is a very high demand for general fitness by student, staff and community members alike. Centennial College offers a large intercollegiate programs in Ontario with 180 varsity student-athletes competing in 10 sports sanctioned by the OCAA (Ontario Colleges Athletics Association) and CCAA (Canadian Colleges Athletic Association). The remaining 60 extramural athletes compete in 5 sports sanctioned by the OCR (Ontario Collegiate Recreation).

2. SCOPE

Centennial College Athletics Department has a combined total of 14 intercollegiate teams with approximately 240 student athletes competing. Centennial College employs approximately 40 coaches and 13 administrative staff who work closely with the teams.

This RFP is to cover all of Centennial Colleges Athletics traditional team wear. All gear is to have the logos embroidered on to the material prior to delivery. In some years Athletics has ordered more, less, variations, or totally different items. We reserve the right to have sole discretion on available items and styles from one year to the next. It’s necessary to provide new and different items from one year to the next so that the student athlete feels they are not receiving the same old items.
