Centennial is seeking to hire the services of a consulting firm to complete an Ancillary Fee Review that will inform the update of the College’s ancillary fee processes to increase transparency to students on how fees are determined and what they provide, as well as to ensure more efficiency in the fee determination process and a better understanding of the revenue flow.
Centennial College is seeking to review and update its policies and processes around ancillary fees (essential, non-essential, and program fees). Centennial is seeking the assistance of a vendor that can inform this process. The vendor will conduct a review of all current ancillary fees at the College (essential, non-essential, and program fees), and the policies and processes around determining ancillary fees including recent changes announced by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) to regulate categories of optional ancillary fees, and the potential impact of these new regulations. It will look at similar colleges to compare actual ancillary fees and document emerging practices related to fee determination, administration, presentation, and student transaction options to determine best practices around the collection of ancillary fees. The vendor will also suggest updates to the current Protocol Agreement with the Centennial College Student Association Incorporated (CCSAI).
