180105 - Taxiway Rehabilitation 2018

The Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport Authority (OMCIAA) is seeking to prequalify tenderers for an upcoming tender for the Taxiway Rehabilitation 2018 project at the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport. This three-year program includes rehabilitation projects within the airfield as determined by OMCIAA based on the needs and budget availability. Prequalified tenderers will be invited to submit tenders for it during the first quarter of 2018.  The scope of the first year construction project has already been determined and the work is scheduled to commence in May 2018 and be completed by the end of September 2018.  The scope for the projects for 2019 and 2020 have also been determined and pre-qualified Tenderers will be requested for submit pricing for those projects as well.  The OMCIAA intends to award one construction contract to the winning tenderer for all construction work, however, the decision to proceed with 2019 and 2020 projects will be made at the end of 2018 and 2019 respectively based on budget availability and/or contractor’s performance at the completion of each construction season.
 
This is the first stage in a two-stage competitive selection process whereby interested firms are invited to provide a Statement of Qualification that clearly demonstrates:

• A full range of professional, technical and managerial skills as required to deliver a quality product within well-defined parameters of scope, quality, time and cost.
• An exemplary track record of achievement in the delivery of comparable projects within a highly exposed operating environment.
• Previous experience of Key Personnel conducting similar work.
• Airfield construction experience.
