Description

The Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport Authority (OIAA) is seeking to prequalify tenderers for an upcoming tender for the Joint Sealant Replacement Project on the main concrete apron (Apron I) at Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW). Prequalified tenderers will be invited to submit tenders during the month of April 2019 (exact tender period TBD). Construction is slated to commence in May 2019 and be completed in September 2019.

The project will include the removal and replacement of all joint sealant from the Portland Cement concrete (PCC) joints on the main apron. The general scope of work includes: removal of existing sealant, removal of any spalled/loose material, adequate cleaning of the joints (using water and air), and installation of suitable sized backer rod and specified hot applied joint sealant material.

This is the first stage in a two-stage competitive selection process whereby interested firms are invited to provide a Statement of Qualification that clearly demonstrates:

A full range of professional, technical and managerial skills as required to deliver a quality product within well-defined parameters of scope, quality, time and cost.
An exemplary track record of achievement in the delivery of comparable projects within a highly exposed operating environment.
Previous experience of Key Personnel conducting similar work.

In the second stage, a limited number of pre-qualified firms will be provided with a more detailed terms of reference and invited to submit a Tender.

Sealed submissions will be received at the address noted in the SofQ documents until no later than 14:00:00 hours (local time) on December 18, 2018.
