Request for Proposals (RFP) for Group Insurance Benefits – Service Provider
The Museum is inviting qualified firms to provide insurance coverage under the group insurance benefit plan for the Museum of History located in Gatineau and the Canadian War Museum located in Ottawa, Canada. This is a one-step two-envelope submission process (Technical and Financial) to prequalify the top four (4) Proponents with the highest technical score to be eligible to have their Price Proposals evaluated. The prequalified Proponent who receives the highest financial score may then be invited to enter into an Agreement with the Museum.
To be considered, Proposals must be received at the address noted above, or as requested in the RFP documents, before the closing date and time noted in the MERX ad; refer to the RFP documents for further details.
Information provided by the Proponents will be evaluated using the established criteria in the RFP. The criteria relate to previous achievements and experience, as well as technical and managerial expertise.

This procurement is subject to:

- Chapter 16 Canada–Panama Free trade agreement
- Chapter 17 of Canada-Honduras Free Trade Agreement
- The Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA)
- The World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP)
- The Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA)
It is anticipated that the contract will be in place for a duration of 3 years from the date of award. Refer to the procurement documents for further details.
Firms that consider themselves qualified to provide these services are invited to submit their Proposals on the forms that are available through MERX or as directed in the procurement documents.
The Museum retains the right to negotiate with the Proponents on any aspect of the procurement.
Proposals may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
Proponents can obtain the award result once posted on MERX.
