Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the Construction of temporary exhibition
“Canada & the SWW” at Canadian War Museum (CWM)
The Canadian Museum of History (the Museum) is inviting qualified firms to provide Construction and Electrical Services. The intention of the Museum is to select the Bidder with the lowest compliant Bid who may then be invited to enter into a Contract with the Museum.
The selected Contractor will be required to deliver the Work and Services described in the procurement documents including, but is not necessarily limited to, the supply of labour, material, supervision and equipment necessary for the construction and electrical installation of the temporary exhibition. The Work will include the building of partition gypsum walls, painting and electrical installation at the Canadian War Museum located in Ottawa, ON.
Optional Site Visit: Friday, February 14, 2020, at 14:00 pm
Site Visit Location: Canadian War Museum, 1 Vimy Place, Ottawa. The meeting point will be at the security reception desk.
The schedule of Work is per the following:
Work will be done during and outside of the Museum’s regular hours of opening. Weekends included.
Regular Hours of Operations for the Duration of the Contract:
September 3, 2019 to March 31, 2020
Monday to Wednesday: 9:30 am to 5 pm
Thursday: 9:30 am to 8 pm
Friday to Sunday: 9:30 am to 5 pm
April 1, 2020 to September 7, 2020
Monday to Wednesday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday to Sunday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
To be considered, Bids must be received at the address noted above, or as requested in the ITT documents, before the closing date and time noted in the MERX ad; refer to the ITT documents for further details.
The Security Requirements for this project are identified in the ITT documents.
It is anticipated to provide the Deliverables and substantially complete the Work by March 27, 2020 and the Final Completion must be completed no later than May 7, 2020. Refer to the procurement documents for further details.
Firms that consider themselves qualified to provide these services are invited to submit their Bids on the forms that are available through MERX or as directed in the procurement documents.
Bids may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
