The Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba (WCB) invites firms to submit a Proposal for the following: The WCB is seeking the professional services of an expert external provider to lead the WCB’s IT team in the design and implementation of a remote access solution using F5 VE software, and provide ongoing solution support.
Description of Services
The WCB requires the Contractor to lead the WCB’s IT team in the design and implementation of a remote access solution using F5 VE software, and provide ongoing solution support.
The Contractor will be required to:
a) Supply F5 VE software as specified in the Fee Schedule (the Contactor to be the provider of BIG-IP Virtual Edition with 1Gb bandwidth software license instances);
b) Lead the WCB’s technical resources with the implementation of a BGP based multi homed ISP solution across two (2) data centres in Winnipeg;
c) Lead the WCB’s technical resources with the implementation of the F5 VE HA pairs in the two (2) data centre VMware ESXi clusters; and
d) Provide on-going support and management of the environment.
The Vendor must be a F5 authorized partner in order to be qualified. Certification should be clearly evidenced in the Proposal.
The Services shall normally be performed during Business Hours. However, the WCB may request some of the Services to be performed outside Business Hours from time to time, as deemed necessary, in the unfettered discretion of the WCB. The Contractor shall not be entitled to charge overtime rates unless specified in the Fee Schedule.
The Contractor will not be required to have and maintain workers compensation coverage for its workers who will be providing the Services, unless required pursuant to The Workers Compensation Act.
The Services may be provided onsite at the WCB's facilities and/or remotely from the Contractor's facilities located in Canada, as applicable, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The WCB expects the Contractor to commence the Implementation Services immediately upon execution of a written agreement and have the Implementation Services completed on or before March 31, 2023. The WCB expects the Contractor to commence the Operational Services upon completion of Implementation Services, continuing for an initial period of twelve (12) months with an irrevocable option in favour of the WCB to extend the term for two (2) additional periods of twelve (12) months each, to a total maximum of sixty six (36) months for the Operational Services.
