Manitoba Public Insurance, Request for Proposal #3104 Cybersecurity Gap
and Maturity Assessment, and Roadmap
Manitoba Public Insurance requires proposals from qualified Vendors to assist Manitoba Public Insurance by conducting a comprehensive cybersecurity current state and evidence-based gap assessment against industry accepted cyber and information security best practices including controls for cyber & information security, and privacy.
Manitoba Public Insurance’s objective is to increase its cyber defense capabilities, for its on premise and cloud environments.
Manitoba Public Insurance intends to address security deficits by creating new, or enhancing current cyber and information security capabilities in the areas of people, process, and technology by engaging the Successful Vendor to conduct the following:
• Identify cyber and information security gaps within MPI’s cybersecurity for its on premise and cloud environments.
• Confirm that MPI’s current implemented security controls are operating effectively to mitigate cyber and information security risks.
• Develop a security controls matrix to align with industry accepted cybersecurity and cloud security standards.
• Identify and recommend the appropriate level of security maturity based on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework that is required to achieve cyber resiliency in support of the identified business priorities and objectives.
• Recommend the required resourcing, processes and technology changes and costs, and develop the roadmap towards cyber resiliency for informed executive decision making.
• As an optional extra service, update security policies and standards to align with the developed security controls matrix, as more fully described in the RFP document.
The final date for submissions is November 12, 2021. Other dates of significance are contained within the body of the RFP.
