The Government of Manitoba, as represented by the Minister of Central Services, Asset Management, seeks to select a Contractor to provide mechanical general contracting services (including all labour, materials, supplies and equipment) for Central Powerhouse Condensate Line Replacement at 219 Memorial Blvd in Winnipeg, MB.
This project is in two phases: the first phase consists of removal of existing abandoned-in-place piping in the tunnel and installation of two 38mm diameter condensate lines (schedule 80). These lines are not connected in the first phase. The second phase, which will occur once heating season is ended, will connect the Phase 1 piping with removal of the existing condensate lines. The tunnel containing the piping is approximately 265m long and runs from the Legislative Building to the powerhouse. There is asbestos abatement in the scope of work. This RFT is for a single price that includes the work in both phases.
Site examinations are by appointment only. Bidders wishing to visit the site should contact the project manager John Pattie at 204-619-2527 or john.pattei@gov.mb.ca to provide the name of the site examination attendees. Instructions for entering the Central Powerhouse shall be provided when a time is arranged for the site visit. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, gatherings of more than 5 people will not be permitted.
