Description

One of the cross bracing timbers on the suspension foot bridge has cracked. We are unsure of why this occurred. The cracked timber is connected to the stabilizing cable. The timber needs to be repaired in such a way to ensure the safety of persons crossing and the bridge integrity. The adjacent steps on the walkway require replacing. A final certified engineers report must indicate that the repair made under this contract has made the bridge safe for a number of years. The report will also include the structural integrity and performance and safety of the entire bridge with respect to alignment, condition of steel masts, foundations, cabling, anchoring systems, timber components, handrails, guardrails and fasteners including any recommendations to ensure safety in the future.

Interested bidders must attend a Mandatory Site Meeting from 10:00 AM on
Wednesday July 13th, 2022 in the parking lot at Pisew Falls, MB to review the project
site and to ask any questions about the work or the RFQ.
Please send an email to BA12Tendering@gov.mb.ca or call 431-279-2025 to confirm your attendance.
The attendee must sign a sign-in attendee log in order to have their bid accepted.
Failure to comply with this requirement will cause the proponents bid to be rejected.
