PAB Asphalt Rehabilitation
Marine Atlantic Inc. (MAI) invites offers from qualified Vendors for the Port aux Basques Asphalt Rehabilitation.
The project is located at the Marine Atlantic Ferry Terminal site in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland.
The Work generally includes, but it is not necessarily limited to, the replacement of deteriorated asphalt either by a complete rebuild, or by milling and replacement.
More particularly the work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:
.1 Full depth removals of asphalt and reinstatement of same to the extents and as shown on the drawings.
.2 Milling to remove 50 mm of asphalt, application of a tack coat and reinstatement of surface course of asphalt.
.3 Installation of concrete pads in the drop trailer yard to the extents shown on the drawings.
.4 Installation of a slab-on-grade for the environmental response trailer.
.5 Removal of the “Max Mols” ramp and replacement with granulars and asphalt.
.6 Removal of abandoned fuel lines to the Coastal and Carson Docks.
.7 Replacement of concrete covers on the pipe chase at the Gulfspan dock.
.8 Installation of new storm sewer and repair of existing hole in the Gulfspan dock.
Marine Atlantic reserves the right to accept tenders in whole or in part. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
A site visit will be held on August 2, 2017 at 10:30 AM Newfoundland time at the site in Port aux Basques, NL.
The closing for receipt of tenders will be 1400 hours Atlantic Time, August 16, 2017.
Proposals must be submitted by electronic means using the MERX EBS.
This will be the only method of response accepted for consideration. Proposals will not be considered if submitted by fax, email or other open forms of communication. Proposals must be received by the closing date and hour. Late Proposals will not be considered.
