PAB Terminal Building Roof Replacement – Port aux Basques, NL

Marine Atlantic Inc. (MAI) invites offers from qualified Vendors for the PAB Terminal Building Roof Replacement – Port aux Basques, NL.

The project is located at the Marine Atlantic Ferry Terminal site in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland.

The Work generally includes, but it is not necessarily limited to, the replacement of multiple sections of the existing roof.
More particularly the work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:

Removal of existing roof assembly in areas as indicated on the drawings.
Installation of new membranes, insulation and flashings.
Removal and reinstatement of siding as needed to accommodate installation of new roof.
Reinstatement of observation deck finished walking surface.
Removal of all obsolete equipment, conduit and wiring.
Temporary relocation and reinstatement of existing equipment required to remain in service. Protection of existing equipment as required to facilitate construction.
Removal and replacement of existing roof drains.
Supply and installation of new access stairway/platform for existing condensing unit piping.

Marine Atlantic reserves the right to accept tenders in whole or in part. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

A site visit will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 9:30 AM Newfoundland Time, at the site in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland.

The closing for receipt of tenders will be 2:00 PM Atlantic Time, November 10, 2021.

Proposals must be submitted by electronic means using the MERX EBS.
This will be the only method of response accepted for consideration. Proposals will not be considered if submitted by fax, email or other open forms of communication.
Proposals must be received by the closing date and hour. Late Proposals will not be considered.

Remplacement du toit du terminal de Port aux Basques – Port aux Basques (T.-N.-L.)

Marine Atlantique (MAI) invite les fournisseurs qualifiés à soumissionner pour le projet de remplacement du toit du terminal de Port aux Basques, à Port aux Basques, à Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador (T.-N.-L.).

Le projet est situé au terminal traversier de Marine Atlantique à Port aux Basques, à Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador.

Les travaux comprennent principalement, sans toutefois nécessairement s’y limiter, le remplacement de plusieurs sections du toit existant.
Plus précisément, les travaux comprennent principalement, sans toutefois nécessairement s’y limiter, ce qui suit :

Retrait de la structure du toit existante dans les zones indiquées sur les dessins.
Installation de nouvelles membranes, d’isolants et de bandes d’étanchéité
Enlèvement et réinstallation du revêtement au besoin pour l’installation d’un nouveau toit.
Réinstallation de la surface de marche finie du pont d’observation
Enlèvement de tout équipement, conduit et câblage obsolète
Relocalisation temporaire et réinstallation du matériel existant nécessaire pour rester en service. Protection de l’équipement existant au besoin pour faciliter la construction
Enlèvement et remplacement des avaloirs existants du toit
Fourniture et installation d’un nouvel escalier ou d’une nouvelle plate‑forme d’accès pour la tuyauterie du groupe compresseur‑condenseur

Marine Atlantique se réserve le droit d’accepter les soumissions dans leur totalité ou en partie. La soumission au plus faible coût ou n’importe laquelle des soumissions ne sera pas nécessairement acceptée.

Une visite du site aura lieu le lundi 1er novembre 2021 à 9 h 30, heure de Terre‑Neuve-et-Labrador, sur le site de Port aux Basques, à Terre‑Neuve‑et‑Labrador.

La clôture de la réception des soumissions sera le 10 novembre 2021 à 14 h, heure de l’Atlantique.

Les propositions doivent être déposées par voie électronique à l’aide du système de soumissions par voie électronique (EBS) de MERX.
Seules les réponses soumises de cette manière seront prises en compte. Les propositions ne seront pas prises en compte si elles sont envoyées par télécopieur, par courriel ou par d’autres moyens de communication ouverts.
Les propositions doivent être reçues au plus tard à la date et à l’heure de clôture. Toute proposition déposée après cette date et cette heure ne sera pas prise en compte.

Event Note

A Site meeting will be held on November 1, 2021, at 9:30 am
Newfoundland time, at the Port Aux Basques site. Attendees will be
required to have proper PPE, including but not limited to, hard
hat, CSA approved safety boots, safety vest and safety glasses.
Attendees should arrive early as it will be necessary to obtain a
temporary pass from security upon arrival. A photo ID will be
required.

.1 A complete tender is comprised of the following:
a) Section 00 41 13 – Tender Form and Section 00 42 00 –
Supplementary Tender Information in its entirety, with all
pages and spaces for entry of information by Tenderers filled
in as instructed.
b) Acknowledgement of Addenda received by the Tenderer during the
Tendering period.
C) An initial deposit (refer to Clause 6 herein).
d) A copy of Tenderer's current and valid Certificate of
Recognition (COR) Program, Letter of Good Standing, issued by
Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association.
e) A copy of valid Clearance Letter, issued by Workplace Health,
Safety and Compensation Commission of Newfoundland and
Labrador.
