This Request for Proposals ("RFP") is an invitation by the Independent Electricity System Operator (the “IESO”) to prospective Proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Retrofit support services as further described in Section 2 of Appendix C – IESO Information & Requirements (the "Deliverables"), for a period of two (2) years. The IESO may, in its discretion, extend the Term for a period of up to one (1) additional year.
The Retrofit Program provides incentives to businesses for energy-efficient equipment upgrades including lighting upgrades, motor installations, compressor replacements and new control systems. The objective of the Retrofit Program is to deliver persisting, measurable and verifiable reductions in peak electricity demand and electricity consumption.
Retrofit Program administration is supported by the Retrofit Portal which is an online Application management system, and is managed by the IESO. Program Participants, Applicant Representatives and Channel Partners use the Retrofit Portal to submit Applications for incentives on proposed energy efficiency projects. The Retrofit Portal is built to support with the administration of the Retrofit Program Requirements and guides the workflow for Applications to be reviewed and approved. The Retrofit Portal also acts as a repository for all relevant Project documentation.
