Description

The IESO delivers key services across Ontario’s electricity sector, including supporting conservation and demand management; sector innovation; and Indigenous communities through a wide range of programs. Program participants, delivery agents, and other beneficiaries of funding available through the IESO, are party to agreements with the IESO and are subject to a number of rules and contractual obligations to ensure, among other things, the prudent use of ratepayer dollars.

Compliance audits, designed and implemented by a third party, are procured by the IESO to provide reasonable assurance that ratepayer funds are utilized appropriately and that IESO counterparties are delivering on their respective contractual obligations. Through this RFP, the IESO intends to enter into an Agreement with up to three (3) Service Providers to: a) develop compliance audit strategies and processes; and b) conduct compliance audits in the following Categories (as further described in the RFP):

Category 1 – Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) Programs and Contracts
Category 2 – Grid Innovation Fund (GIF) Projects
Category 3 – Energy Support Programs It is the intent to award each Category to a single Service Provid
