Elections Ontario (or “EO”) is a non-partisan agency of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario working under the direction of the Chief Electoral Officer (“CEO”), an officer of the Legislative Assembly. EO is responsible for conducting general, by-elections and referenda in accordance with the provisions in the Elections Act and the administration of Election Finances Act.
EO’s Head Office Building is located at 51 Rolark Drive, Scarborough, Ontario and houses critical staff, support services, physical infrastructure and operations. EO leases this building and the building area totals 64,860 square feet, comprising of 30,050 square feet of finished office space and 34,810 square feet of warehouse space. During an election year EO staffs over 200 staff at the Rolark Drive location.
Given the criticality of its mandate, it is essential that EO have an alternate power strategy in place to support the sustainability and delivery of its most significant processes and procedures. A generator will be required onsite at 51 Rolark Drive from April 3, 2018 through to and including June 29th, 2018.
The duration of the contract to be entered into between the CEO and successful Proponent(s) will be from April 3, 2018 until June 30, 2022. In the event of a Minority Government, post June 2018, the successful Proponent may be called upon to provide the same services in an unscheduled Provincial General Election prior to 2022.
