Description

Currently there is an automated (OLIS) Ontario Laboratory Information System regression suite with 1000 test cases. It has been found that there are many of these test cases that are broken and need to be updated. This suite is usually only updated when new functionality is delivered whereas the existing test cases are not always maintained that can lead to erroneous changes being inadvertently released.
Automation of regression testing aligns with the third Agency Priority for fiscal year 17/18 to strengthen technology platform to lay groundwork for operational reliability, performance and reduced operating costs. The deliverables include remedying the existing OLIS regression suite and to add regression test cases to support OLIS 3.3, CMTA integration and OLIS 3.3.1 ((FHIR) Fast Health Interoperability Resource interface; consumer query).
Deliverables

Review current regression tests including a detailed report of all regression test reviewed and assessment of what needs to be fixed.
Update the current set of Regression Test Cases including implementing fixes to regression test and following assessments made in review. As well, a revised report to show updated regression tests.
Create New Manual QAtest Cases for Upcoming OLIS Releases FY17/18 including r3.3, r3.3.1 and r4.0. QA test cases will need to be mapped back to the respective business requirement document in reach of the above releases.
Automate Regression Test Cases for OLIS r3.3, r3.3.1 and r4.0.
Test the Current Regression Suite including QA exit report.
Test New Regression Suite including QA exit report.
Create a Process and documentation to support all the Regression Suite.
KT All Regression Test Cases including the creation of supporting documentation.
