RFP2019-P00292-Publication Facility Services:

Emergency notification is an integral and mission critical component of organizations’ communication strategies. On both a routine and emergency basis, notifications to affected stakeholders before, during and after an incident or crisis, dramatically increases an organization’s ability to quickly restore productivity to normal levels.

Ontario Health’s Digital Services business unit (formerly eHealth Ontario) currently provides a shared service that enables health care information managers to publish targeted communications to designated groups of healthcare stakeholders. This managed communication and alerting mechanism is referred to as the Publication Facility Service. The service is a managed communication, contact management and alerting system, which provides a robust notification system for sending important health notices (IHNs) and other health advisory information to health care stakeholders in the community.
