The Connecting Ontario service provides health care providers with access to a regional, electronic repository of patient records, thus replacing former paper-based workflows with an enhanced physician/provider practice workflow, due to more timely information from patient hospital encounters. The service enhances information flow for thousands of patients over time while decreasing paper flow – filing, retrieving, scanning and managing reports.
End-users within select hospitals leveraging citrix-based access to the service are experiencing slow response time and other difficulties when using the Connecting Ontario customized application. There is an urgent need to provide highly specialized citrix support to the hospitals, to immediately address configuration and other performance issues currently deterring quick and secure access to the ConnectingOntario application and its content by clinicians.
The successful completion of this consultant effort will help achieve implementation and adoption of EHR solutions by hospitals leveraging citrix technologies, by enabling quicker access to information and a more positive clinician experience, for both existing and future end-users groups.
Specific Deliverables:
- enhancing hospital end-user experience by performing hands-on optimization and configuration activities on citrix platforms currently installed in select hospitals;
- recommending an optimal hardware and citrix software platform and associated configurations, for future use by hospitals requesting access to the Connecting Ontario service, so as to expedite adoption and ensure positive end-user experience.
