DEFENCE CONSTRUCTION CANADA (DCC) – PA22603_75125 – Recapitalization of 10 RHUs – Petawawa, Ontario
Work for this project involves the total replacement of the interior of ten (10) residential housing units of varying style and size. The units were built in the 1950’s and are being reconfigured to bring them up to contemporary standards. Work involves, but is not limited to, stripping out and disposing of all the interior finishes, cabinets, drywall, insulation and flooring to expose the subfloor and framing. All existing wiring, plumbing and ductwork are to be removed. The units will have the framing modified to allow for partition rearrangement, installation of new drywall, insulation, hardwood and ceramic flooring, doors, trim, kitchen and bathroom cabinetry and fixtures, plumbing, electrical and HVAC equipment. Hazardous materials are to be abated following Provincial/Federal regulations. One 2A style is a two story, approximately 57 sq/m in area on the main floor comprised of 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining areas. Three 47/4 Style are two story, approximately 67 sq/m on the main floor comprised of 4 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining areas. One B style single story, approximately 60 sq/m on the main floor comprised of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living and dining areas. Three CC54/64f Style are two story, approximately 55 sq/m on the main floor comprised of 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining areas. One KK style is a 2 story row unit, approximately 58 sq/m on the main floor comprised of 4 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining areas. One KK54 style is 2 story row unit, approximately 63 sq/m on the main floor comprised of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining areas. All units contain basements which are open areas containing HVAC and laundry connections.

The Work must reach Substantial Completion no later than 196 calendar days after notification of contract award and must be completed no later than 42 calendar days after the date of Substantial Completion.
