DEFENCE CONSTRUCTION CANADA (DCC) – BN22603_76144 – Minor Recapitalization of 15 Residential Housing Units – Borden, Ontario
Work for this contract comprises of the renovations to Five (15) residential housing units (RHU’s), of various styles (TT, UU, and PP) located in CFB Borden, Ontario. The existing units were built in the early 1950s and are being reconfigured to be brought up to contemporary standards.
The units range from approximately 1150 to 1217 sq. feet in area and include three (3) and four (4) bedroom configurations. Specific units will require the removal of drywall, and hazardous materials abatement. Hazardous materials including lead paint, asbestos, silica, and mercury which are to be abated following Provincial/Federal Regulations.
The renovations will include, but are not limited to, the removal of all interior finishes back to studs and subfloor, reconfiguration of interior layouts, new insulation, new interior finishes, kitchen, bathroom, flooring, ceramic floor tile, crawl space work, plumbing, heating, A/C and electrical throughout. Work also includes replacement of soffit and fascia, windows & doors and removal of chimneys.

NOTE: There is no scheduled site visit for this opportunity.
The Work must reach Substantial Completion no later than 207 calendar days after notification of contract award and must be completed no later than 35 calendar days after the date of Substantial Completion.
