DEFENCE CONSTRUCTION CANADA (DCC) – HQ0443DE_74567 – Building MA36 - ILS New Fiberglass Repair Shop – Kingston, Ontario
The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the supply of labour, material, supervision and equipment necessary to renovate the existing Optics Work Room into a Fiberglass Repair Shop at MA36. The project will include work associated with upgrading of walls, floors, ceilings, and new mechanical equipment. The electrical equipment will be removed and replaced with (CED) Zone 2 rated equipment. BAS controls expansion as well as updates to the Fire Alarm system. Contractors will also relocate DND's existing breathing air equipment in ME32 to this new space in MA36.
DCC is committed to working with all Contractors as we progress through the pandemic. Please be advised that DND has updated their building access procedures with a new CFB Kingston Covid-19 Screening Questionnaire to be reviewed for self-screening prior to entering any building at CFB Kingston, including the Royal Military College, Kingston Armoury and Brockville Armoury. All contractors and their staff must follow the posted requirements to enter the CFB Kingston base buildings. In particular starting on November 15, 2021, all contractor/consultant personnel, including employees of sub-contractors/sub-consultants at all tiers, who require access to federal government worksites, which includes any outdoor, or partially outdoor workplaces, in order to perform Work/Services for the Government of Canada must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The questionnaire will be posted at the entrance of each building. The Consultant/Contractor will be required to carry proof of vaccination and verifications may be carried out by DCC or the DND/CAF at any time. This project contains security requirements.
The selected contractor will be required to hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS), issued by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). In accordance with the Government of Canada Public Health Measures, anyone arriving at CFB Kingston starting on November 15, 2021, must be “Fully Vaccinated” to enter the worksite which includes any outdoor, or partially outdoor workplaces. All contractor/consultant personnel, including employees of sub-contractors/sub-consultants at all tiers, who attend the site visit must be full vaccinated against Covid-19. The Consultant/Contractor will be required to carry proof of vaccination and verifications may be carried out by DCC or the DND/CAF at any time. Attendees at the site visit will be required to self-screen for Covid-19 symptoms to enter any building. It is the sole responsibility of the contractor to ensure that their personnel attending the site visit follow these requirements. DCC will not reschedule any site visit due to Contractor personnel’s inability to pass the CFB Kingston Covid-19 Screening Questionnaire. Refer to Amendment No.1 for a copy of the CFB Kingston Covid-19 Screening Questionnaire.
The estimated cost for this opportunity is in the range of $662,000.00
The Work must reach Substantial Completion no later than 280 calendar days after notification of contract award and must be completed no later than 28 calendar days after the date of Substantial Completion.
