The objective of this RFP is to invite interested parties to submit a proposal to act as the Contractor who will take on the role of General Contractor / Constructor AND/OR as the Design Engineer under an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) Agreement with CNL for the construction of an Advanced Nuclear Material Research Centre at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories Ltd.’s (CNL) Chalk River Laboratories facility (CRL).

Estimated Total Project Costs: $250,000,000 - $270,000,000 CAD

There will be a mandatory webinar on March 13th, 2018 at 14:00, as amended in this RFP. Interested bidders are to follow the instructions in the RFP.

General Description:
CNL is undertaking a redevelopment of their Chalk River Laboratories facility. This phase includes the development of an Advanced Nuclear Material Centre. The work will include but is not limited to:

Working collaboratively between the Owner, Design Engineer, and Constructor to design the buildings and select the IPD team.
Undertaking minor demolition and remediation.
Construction oversight of the new building AND/OR Design Engineering oversight of the new building
Oversight and guidance to the IPD team through Validation, Design/Preconstruction, and Construction.

All work is to be done in accordance with the IPD Agreement.
