The objective of this RFP is to invite interested parties to submit a proposal to act as the Contractor who will take on the role of General Contractor / Constructor under an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) Agreement with CNL and its architects for the construction of 3 new buildings at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories Ltd.’s (CNL) Chalk River Laboratories facility (CRL). The buildings are non-nuclear and will include the following: Business Hub, Support Facility, and Logistics/Warehouse Facility.
Estimated Total Project Costs: $70,000,000 - $100,000,000 CAD
There will be a mandatory site visit on October 25th, 2017 at 13:00, as amended in this RFP. Interested bidders are to submit follow the instructions in the RFP.
General Description:
CNL is currently in the design process for the 3 new buildings at the CRL site. The work will include but is not limited to:
- Working collaboratively with the Owner and Architect to design the buildings and select the IPD team.
- Undertaking minor demolition and remediation.
- Construction oversight of 3 new buildings.
- Oversight and guidance to the IPD team through Validation, Design/Preconstruction, and Construction.
All work is to be done in accordance with the IPD Agreement.
