Description

CNL has the need to refurbish four (4) laboratories in building B513. CNL requires a Contractor to perform construction and demolition activities in accordance with Technical Scope of Work 219-78155-TSW-038. The Contractor will be required to provide a detailed demolition and installation Work Plans as per the CNL Work Plan procedure. Each one of the four (4) laboratories requires its only specific set of Work Plans. The Contractor shall complete all the aforementioned Work Plans in advance of commencing the field work. i.e A total of 8 Work Plans are required, 1 Work Plan for installation per laboratory, 1 Work Plan for demolition per laboratory.

The construction and demolition activities shall be sequenced in the following manner:
1) Two laboratories will be completed in parallel with one another. Each laboratory shall have a full time crew assigned to it. Any delays encountered in a laboratory are to be mitigated by reassigning the crew to the other laboratory.

2) After completion of the first two laboratories the following two laboratories will be completed in parallel with one another. Each laboratory shall have a full time crew assigned to it. Any delays encountered in a laboratory are to be mitigated by reassigning the crew to the other laboratory.

Should asbestos be found during field work, the contractor shall engage a company that can perform asbestos removal with workers already pre-qualified to work at the CNL site.
Lay down area(s) shall be provided for waste, but not for new construction materials to be installed. The contractor shall place waste in the CNL provided waste containers. CNL will dispose of all conventional and radiological waste. The contractor will bring its new construction materials to site on a just in time basis.
