Description

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) is collecting biodiversity data throughout the Chalk River Laboratories (CRL) site to support its monitoring program and the potential for site development. In order to ensure and maintain compliance under the Species at Risk Act (SARA) and the Migratory Birds Convention Act, 1994 (MCBA), survey of forest songbirds is required to obtain baseline data in some areas and compare trend in areas where information was collected in 2013. The results from the audio file analysis will support CNL in the development of mitigation measures and development of a long term biodiversity monitoring program.
