Description

In the past, CBC/Radio-Canada teams used the free SnappyTV app for this need, but the platform shutdown in Dec 31 2019. The new tool is only designed to publish content to X (Twitter) and does not offer as much options as SnappyTv, for other social networks.

CBC/Radio-Canada used WildMoka and Tellyo for the previous 3 Olympic games (Beijing, Tokyo and Pyeongchang)

As an order of magnitude example, CBC/Radio-Canada ingested up to 30 concurrent daily streams, for a total of 10,000 hours of content during the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.

For the Olympic coverage, CBC/Radio-Canada ingests feeds from the Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS).
