Description

CBC/Radio-Canada has commissioned GBT to manage the RFP process for the CBC Hotel program for 2023/24 & 2024/25 year.

If you would like to submit rates to CBC/Radio-Canada and would like to receive CBC/ Radio Canada’s Request for Proposal (RFP), you must meet the following mandatory requirement:

Proposed hotel properties shall have the following four main TV channels available for CBC/Radio-Canada guests : 2 National television Networks- English Network and French Television and 2 self-supporting specialty cable television, CBC Newsworld in English and Le Réseau de l'information (RDI) in French. This mandatory requirement is only applicable to proposed properties below the 55 degree parallel.

Proposed hotel properties must be Last Room Availability (LRA).

Proponents must have properties in the following Canadian Cities: British Columbia (Vancouver; Victoria), Alberta ( Calgary; Edmonton), Saskatchewan (Saskatoon; Regina), Manitoba (Winnipeg), Ontario (London; Ottawa; Sudbury; Toronto-downtown; Windsor), Quebec (Montreal-downtown; Quebec City; Trois Rivieres; Rimouski; Rouyn-Noranda; Saguenay; Sherbrooke; Sept- Iles), New Brunswick (Fredericton; Moncton; Saint John), Nova Scotia (Halifax; Sydney), Prince Edward Island (Charlottetown), Newfoundland (St. John’s), Yukon (Whitehorse), Northwest Territories (Yellowknife) and Nunavut (Iqaluit).

Proposed hotel properties must be within the established distances from the applicable CBC Radio Canada offices as identified in tables below. Please indicate any CBC location in which you would not have a hotel location within the distance, then please indicate the closest option and the distance and CBC/Radio-Canada will make an assessment.

Other value-adds not mandatory but would be considered favorable in the evaluation process are:

- Minimum number of Black-out dates
- No seasonal rates
- Run of the house
- Free in-room high speed internet
- Early check-out without a fee
- Free parking
- Airport shuttles
