Access Control Cards – HID iClass or Equivalent
Introduction
The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (“CATSA”) is a Crown corporation with headquarters in Ottawa and is responsible for the delivery of consistent, effective and efficient screening of passengers and non-passengers in designated airports.

Objective
The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (“CATSA”) has a requirement to procure approximately seventy thousand (70,000) access control cards per year for up to three years with the option of extending for up to two additional one year terms as further described in the RFP.
Mandatory Requirements
M1. The contractor shall supply HID iCLASS SR card, part number 2123HBCCANN-11542 or an equivalent product that meets or exceeds the Technical Specification found in the RFP.
M2. Bidders of HID Cards shall provide documentary evidence that the Bidder is a reseller in good standing with HID Global Corporation, which entitles the Bidder to sell Access Control Cards to CATSA as contemplated by this RFP, by providing written confirmation signed by a duly authorized representative of the manufacturer, HID Global Corporation.
M3. Bidders submitting a substitute product shall provide ten (10) access control cards for testing against the requirements as described in the RFP.
Financial Evaluation
Financial Offers are to be submitted in US dollars. The RFP contains all of the detailed Financial Offer requirements.
Contractor Selection
CATSA intends to recommend one bidder for award of a contract based on the methodology described in the RFP.
