PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Modernize two overhead geared traction passenger elevators, designated A and B. Modernization includes: Replacement of control systems, drives, hoist machines, fixtures, car operating panels, hall stations and car door restrictors. Electrical upgrades, Mechanical upgrades and Lead abatement.

DESCRIPTION OF SCOPE OF WORK AND PROJECT

Provide labour, materials, products, equipment and services necessary for the following work at Ontario Government Offices London (B19440) located at 659 Exeter Road in London, Ontario:
The modernization of two overhead geared traction passenger elevators, designated A and B, as specified in Section 14210.
Provide full maintenance of the equipment being modernized in accordance with the CB Richard Ellis Vertical Transportation Equipment Maintenance Specification (217616 r07) from the beginning of work on site until twelve months after Substantial Completion.
No work by other trades will be provided; act as the General Contractor and hire any sub-trades necessary to complete the project.
Project areas contain designated substances. The GC will be responsible to perform lead abatement of the project areas in accordance with the specifications prior to start of construction work (note: the elevator subcontractor will need to be present for all work by the abatement contractor).
So as not to delay equipment purchase and engineering work, the elevator contractor is expected to take site measurements/information immediately following award once required security clearances are in place. This will necessitate implementation of a lead management program in accordance with the Project Specific DSS report.
MGS (CPIC) security clearance is required for all site workers. All sub-contractors must also have MGS clearance.
