2022-23-0015 - Writing Briefing Materials for Decision Makers

Agricorp staff are required to communicate regularly with decision makers in a political and operational environment, including senior leaders within Agricorp, and the Ontario Public Service. This includes communication to inform and seek approval on recommendations related to complex issues, technical information and analysis. Communication is generally through briefing notes (e.g. information notes, briefing notes, decision requests, product design submissions to AAFC, business value assessments, delivery/implementation plans). Training is needed for staff to develop skills in communicating effectively and efficiently to this audience using clear, concise language.
