This Request for Proposal (RFP) has been issued by Agricorp in order to identify and select the most suitable proponent to provide “Rainfall Data Collection Services” in support of Agricorp’s Forage Rainfall Insurance Plan.
Following an evaluation process, Agricorp intends to sign a contract with the successful proponent for three (3) years with the option to extend for two (2) one (1) year terms. The contract value is not to exceed $1,400,000.00 CAD excluding HST.
The purpose of this service is to provide Agricorp with Rainfall Data Collection Services in support of the Forage Rainfall Insurance Plan.
As per Section 6.03 of the attached Form of Agreement, Agricorp will retain all Intellectual Property rights of the rainfall data collected by the successful vendor. The successful vendor must obtain the prior written consent of Agricorp, such consent not to be unreasonably withheld, to use Agricorp’s rainfall data for any purposes that fall outside the scope of the deliverables as specified in section 3.3 of the RFP.
Should Agricorp grant the successful proponent the right to use the rainfall data, the vendor must agree to the following conditions:
- The vendor must provide a detailed report to Agricorp specifying how exactly Agricorp’s rainfall data will be used.
- The vendor must disclose any and all monies received for the use of Agricorp’s rainfall data.
- If the vendor receives monetary compensation for the use of Agricorp’s rainfall data, the vendor must provide Agricorp with ten (10) percent of the gross.
